ACTIVITIES - INTRODUCTION
Victoria's famous Phillip Island is a great destination for a whole range of activities. The island only 90 minutes from Melbourne and boasts activities for all ages.
A day at the beach either Surfing for seasoned veterans or beginners. Experiencing the curling waves and sparkling clean beaches.
Hiring a Kayak or taking a lesson around the rocks or in the surf. Feel the morning sun and fresh sea breeze as you stroll the beach or watchj the kids building castles in the clean pristine sand.
Charter fishing expeditions depart from Rhyll and San Remo and hire boats are available at Rhyll, Cowes and Corinella. Fishing in the bay or throwing a line in for a spot of Surf fishing from the beach or dropping a line in from the pier are popular past times where Schnapper, King George Whiting, Salmon, Gummy Shark, Garfish, Trevally and Pike are plentiful. You can even try your hand at catching an Elephant Fish during the season.
Trips out to Seal Rocks are available and Whale watching tours during the whale season. The penguin parade is world renowned and a trip to the parade is well worthwhile on dusk.
There is so much to see and do here on the island these are just a few. If you are not looking at the water you can Ten Pin bowl, experience Laser Strike and Paintball, have some fun on the dodgem cars. Take a helicopter ride, experience our National Vietnam Veterans Museum or cast a line at the trout farm or take a ride on a genuine Munster Trike. If 18 holes is your game the Phillip Island Golf Club is always looking green and inviting not to mention the famous Grand Prix Racing Circuit or a ride on a genuine Harley Davidson Munster Trike.
