Activities - Arts & Markets
A number of markets are held on Phillip Island throughout the year. A Farmer's Market is held on picturesque Churchill Island every 4th Saturday of the month, starting at 8am and finishing at 1pm. Well over 40 stalls sell a variety of goods, grown and produced locally in Gippsland. The trash and treasure market in Cowes, open every Sunday from 8am till 1pm and situated in Settlement Road opposite Mitre10, offers a different range and something for everyone. An Art & Craft Market is held every 3rd Saturday of the month in the grounds of St John's Anglican Church in Thompson Ave. Another one is held in the grounds of the United Church in Chapel Street, at varying times (see calendar). Cowes Night Market
Situated by the beautiful Cowes foreshore, the Cowes Night Market is fast becoming the highlight of the busy summer season on Phillip Island. Cowes Night Market has an enticing range to offer for anyone who appreciates fine wines accompanied by great gourmet food, fabulous music, and exceptional handcrafted work. The market is dedicated to providing outstanding quality, in a relaxed family friendly atmosphere. See events page for dates. 
Local art can be found in the The Gallery at Cowes Cultural Centre, where a permanent display is located of works by local artists, many of which are for sale. Mingara Gallery is situated at the entrance to Cowes and has a collection of art and jewellery for sale.
