Choppers: Helicopters and the Vietnam War

A one day conference presenting a wide range of viewpoints on the use and impact of helicopters in the Vietnam War – from medevac, to gunship, heavy lift and troop transport, extracting special forces to bringing in cargo or artillery.

Helicopters changed forever our view of the war zone. Listen to RAAF, RNAF, Army and Navy veterans who flew, serviced and crewed the helicopters in combat, on reconnaissance, helping wounded, and moving troops.

Hear about the recovery of two Australians missing in action after helicopter incidents.

Set right in the Museum – lunch and afternoon and morning tea provided.
