Experience the peace and quiet of farm life while staying at Otira on Needle’s Eye, a working farm only 90 minutes from Melbourne

 Otira offers 4 star accommodation and is located inland between the township of Cowes and the famous Penguin Parade. All the Island’s natural attractions are within 15 minutes travel.

 The homestead was built in the late 1920s and has been renovated for guests’ comfort. There are four in-house rooms, double and twin rooms with own bathrooms. The lounge room downstairs has an open fire. A delicious full cooked country breakfast is served in the dining room. Afternoon tea is served each afternoon and tea and coffee is available at all times.

 Third generation Islander John is only too happy to take guests on a tour of the farm. There is lamb feeding (seasonal), chook eggs to collect and local knowledge is to be shared with all.
