National Vietnam Veterans Museum This nationally recognized Museum is dedicated to the preserving and displaying of photographs, memorabilia, vehicles and aircraft that accurately detail the history of Australian involvement in the Vietnam War from 1962 to 1972. The Museum currently displays around 6000 artifacts, memorabilia, documents, photographic material, vehicles, aircraft and weaponry which are viewed either under glass or in walk-through areas which allow the visitor to fully appreciate the historical era of the Vietnam War. The National Vietnam Veterans Museum is a treasure house of Vietnam War era memorabilia and is representative of all Australian Veterans and those veterans of other nations residing in Australia. It is also a nostalgic meeting place for Veterans and their families and a source of information, enjoyment and research for the general public and future generation. Displays include a holographic audio visual presentation, exquisitely made dioramas, photographs, uniforms, equipment, vehicles and aircraft. An armoury containing weaponry of the period, a library of books and research material and cultural artifacts and information contributed by the Vietnamese Community are included.
