Catch a wild ride, trackside, February 28 – March 1, when the world superbike boys headed by five-times world champ Kawasaki’s Jonathan Rea, Ducati’s hot-shot signing Scott Redding, young Turk Toprak Ragatlioglu for Yamaha and the Spanish assassin Alvaro Bautista on his all-new Honda launch their 2020 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship at Australia’s motorcycling mecca, the thrilling Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit.
Tickets are on sale via Ticketek, with three massive days of action planned for the Yamaha Finance round with world superbike and world supersport launching their global title chase, and the national classes in the Australian Superbike Championship kicking off their season.
The 2020 Australian event will set a new record being the 30th round to be held at Victoria’s world- acclaimed Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. The first event held in 1990 was won by two Australians – the opening 1990 race to Peter Goddard and the second race to Robbie Phillis. The WorldSBK championship has returned every year since 1990, bar 1993.
Race weekend will run from Friday to Sunday, with practice and qualifying Friday dominating the day one schedule and Free Paddock Friday giving everyone close-range access to the riders and the last-minute season preparations.
