Searoad Ferries – Queenscliff to Sorrento
Searoad Ferries, operates 2 all weather car and passenger ferries on Melbourne’s spectacular Port Phillip Bay. The bay crossing is now a ‘must do’ attraction and a highlight of the Victorian coastal travel experience, connecting the Great Ocean Road to the Mornington Peninsula and beyond to Phillip Island.
Enjoy one of the world’s greatest coastal journeys onboard Searoad Ferries, Australia’s favourite car and passenger ferry. The spectacular 40-minute trip between Sorrento and Queenscliff links Victoria’s most magnificent coastal regions.
There are everchanging sights – watch out for dolphins and enormous ships as you breathe incredibly fresh air. It’s the fast and environmentally friendly alternative to the drive through city traffic, road tolls and boring freeways, connecting one peninsula to the other.
With two specially designed all-weather 60-metre ferries departing from both destinations on the hour, every hour, 7am to 6pm every day. With an extra 7pm service from 26 December to the end of January.
Enjoy easy drive on/drive off facilities, lift facilities from the car deck to the spacious comfortable lounges with full-length windows, a tempting café, wi-fi, children’s playground, colouring corner,Thomas the Tank Engine table and plenty of deck space.
Before or after your ferry crossing stop by the Beach Café at the Queenscliff terminal for the best beach and bay views in town. Enjoy breakfast, coffee and cake or select from the daily lunch specials board or full menu using local and regional produce and freshed baked goods.
